We’re on winter sabbatical Dec 1–Feb 15. All our work is powered by the unpaid labor of Black women, many of whom live with the weight of multiple oppressions. Rest is part of our strategy for sustainability and liberation. Responses will be delayed. Community members in need will hear back as soon as we’re able. About the event

Join the BWINH Collective for a series of gatherings centered around Collective Courage: A History of African American Cooperative Economic Thought and Practice by Dr. Jessica Gordon Nembhard. This groundbreaking book explores the rich history of Black American cooperatives and their role in fostering community solidarity and economic resilience.
We'll watch a video from The Kheprw Institute's (KI) book study series, hosted by Dr. Nembhard herself alongside guest co-hosts.
KI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, focuses on empowering youth and adults to transform themselves and their communities through learning and action. Each session will include time for group discussion to explore how we can apply these learnings to our local community, followed by casual socializing.
