Reclaiming Our Truth

Unlearning the lies. Uplifting our legacy.

Reclaiming Our Truth is a community education series from the BWINH Collective that invites Black people in New Hampshire and surrounding areas to reconnect with our full history, across cultures, generations, and geographies.

This series is a space to explore the truths we weren’t taught, name the harm of whitewashed narratives, and root ourselves in the legacy, brilliance, and resistance of our people.

Whether we’re talking about pre-colonial Africa, the civil rights struggles of the North, or the everyday ways we’ve resisted erasure, these sessions are designed to spark healing, conversation, and connection.

🔥 What to Expect

  • Workshops, teach-ins, and guided discussions led by community members, educators, and culture bearers

  • Topics that highlight Black history, spirituality, foodways, language, activism, and joy

  • Tools for personal reflection and collective liberation

  • Learning environments rooted in love, curiosity, and cultural affirmation

✊🏾 Why It Matters

Too often, the education we receive—formally and informally—distorts or erases Black stories.

Reclaiming Our Truth is about taking that power back.

This series is a chance to learn and unlearn together, across generations, and in a space that honors all of who we are.
