Call It Home: Investing in Black-Led, Black-Centered Spaces
Call It Home is a community initiative created by the BWINH Collective focused on Black self-determination and redirecting Black energy, skills, and resources into spaces that truly center our community’s needs, priorities, and voices. Inspired by ancestral principles of cooperation and solidarity, Call It Home seeks to build stronger, sustainable Black-led ecosystems across New Hampshire and New England.
Our Vision & Principles
We believe deeply in the power of Black self-determination, prioritizing:

Investment in Community—dedicating time, skills, knowledge, and resources to uplift each other.
Who Can Join?
Anchor Organizations
Anchor Organizations hold space for the coalition and help coalesce Black-led efforts.
Responsibilities:

Co-Host coalition-wide meetings
-
Participate in bi-monthly anchor meetings
-
Review applications from prospective members
-
Conduct outreach to aligned organizations
Time Commitment:

Approx. 3-4 hours per month

Coalition Members (Organizations & Groups)
Organizations or groups committed to actively practicing and advocating for Black self-determination.
Responsibilities:

Attend coalition meetings regularly
-
Commit to Call It Home principles (Black-led, inclusive, reciprocal care)

Participate in coalition initiatives and strategy discussions
-
Support and amplify coalition efforts within your communities

Individual Coalition Members
Individual Black community members interested in supporting and shaping the Call It Home Coalition.
How You Can Support:

Provide administrative or logistical support to anchor organizations

Volunteer directly with coalition organizations/groups

Help raise awareness through outreach and community presence

Participate in community advisory discussions to shape coalition priorities
Time Commitment:

Approx. 2-4 hours per month
