We’re on winter sabbatical Dec 1–Feb 15. All our work is powered by the unpaid labor of Black women, many of whom live with the weight of multiple oppressions. Rest is part of our strategy for sustainability and liberation. Responses will be delayed. Community members in need will hear back as soon as we’re able. About the event
Each year, the BWINH Collective reimagines Black Friday—not as a day of overconsumption, but as a celebration of Black culture, community, and joy.
Noir Nights Black Friday is a free, family-friendly gathering where we come together to honor the many Black cultures and traditions that make up our community in New Hampshire. This event recognizes the diversity of spiritual and secular winter traditions that live within our people and invites us to create new traditions rooted in connection—not capitalism.
Through food, music, dancing, games, and shared space, we’re building a village where our community feels seen, valued, and celebrated. This is more than just an event. It’s a statement: our joy, our culture, our traditions matter.
Your support helps us keep this celebration free and accessible to everyone, allowing us to continue creating spaces where Black folks can rest, laugh, build, and thrive—together.
